Yorkshire Car Badge

Yorkshire. Manufactured in Resin and having a Stainless backing plate, by Renamel of London from the early 60’s until 1974 when the County Boundaries of England were changed. In the base of the shield can be seen a Blue Eagle used by the Council pre-1945. The Blue Eagle came from the arms of the borough of Beverley, Two Garbs (wheatsheaves) representing the agricultural qualities of the County. In chief (top) three Yorkshire Roses. The Crest on top of the shield shows a wheatsheave fesswise (lying on it's side) with an Eagle with spread wings.
