Oxfordshire. Manufactured in Resin and having a Stainless backing plate, by Renamel of London from the early 60’s until 1974 when the County Boundaries of England were changed. The shield shows a blue field charged with two wavy white lines running from the top left to bottom right (wavy bend) representing the river Thames. A garb (sheaf of corn) and tree representing agriculture and nature of the Oxfordshire countryside. In the centre is the head of an Ox. The Crest on top of the Shield shows a White Ram on a mural Crown representing the Oxford Down Ram and Oxford Castle.
