Gloucestershire Car Badge

Gloucestershire. Manufactured in Resin and having a Stainless backing plate, by Renamel of London from the early 60’s until 1974 when the County Boundaries of England were changed. The shield ranted on December 10, 1935 shows three red chevronells from the ancient Coat of Clare, Earls of Gloucester. Either side are two golden Fleeces showing the importance of the wool industry. In cheif are three horseshoes from the arms granted on December 10, 1935 to the city of Gloucester. The Crest on top of the Shield shows a demi lion on a mural Crown from the City of Gloucester.
