Northants Car Badge

Northants, which is an approved shortening of Northamptonshire. Manufactured in Resin and having a Stainless backing plate, by Renamel of London from the early 60’s until 1974 when the County Boundaries of England were changed. Main charge on the shield is a rose, first appearing for Northamptonshire in 1665. In the upper (chief) are two smaller roses and a Fetlock, this together with the roses mark a connection with the houses of York and Lancaster. The Crest on top of the Shield shows a Silver Falcon on a wreath. The Silver Falcon comming from Edward III.
