Lincolnshire Car Badge
English Counties
Lincolnshire. Manufactured in Resin and having a Stainless backing plate, by Renamel of London from the early 60’s until 1974 when the County Boundaries of England were changed. The Shields main colour of green, reflects the County's verdant plains. The vertical (palewise) ermine band refers to Ermine Street, presumably in Lincoln. It is charged with an Oak tree, reflecting the County's former predominance of woodland. The Crest on top of the Shield shows a Heron with a Pike in it's beak, standing on a wreath.
