Warwickshire Car Badge

Warwickshire. Manufactured in Resin and having a Stainless backing plate, by Renamel of London from the early 60’s until 1974 when the County Boundaries of England were changed. The shield shows an erect bear muzzeled, collared and chained to a ragged staff. This charge dates back at least to the 14th century' in association with the Earls of Warwick. At the top (in Chief) are three cross-crosslets from the arms of the Beauchamps, who were Earls of Warwick from 1268 to 1449. The Crest on top of the Shield is a murald gold Crown
