"On the Road to a badge collection"

Article in the Kidderminster Times June 11 1982. Under the title "On the Road to a badge collection" "A box of "bits and pieces" for ten shillings at an auction put magpie collector Pip Guise on the road to a mammoth collection of motor car emblems which is his pride and joy. It contains over 1500 prize emblems from countries as far apart as Russia and Sierra Leone as well as hundreds from Britain." At this time the displays were mounted on old shelving boards, bought from Boots in Kidderminster when the Centre was being re-developed. The succession to the larger black displays had just begun.
