Colt Autobadge Collection "The Start" Display of Car Badge. Looking around for ideas of how to display some of my growing collection of car badges, in 1966 I conned my Father to have some badges displayed on the wall of the Bar at the Mare & Colt Public House just outside of Kidderminster that my parents kept. Half a dozen were displayed at first but because of the positive reaction received by the regulars I was allowed to expand up to around thirty wooden shields each displaying three car badges. Each shield was themed as to type, eg the Foreign shield illustrated, Automobile Club of Italy, San Marino and Phillippines Motor Association.
