Colt Autobadge Collection "The Start" Display of Car Badges. Mounted on small wooden shields which I made from shelving I bought when the local Boots store shut down for a major revamp of the centre of Kiddereminster. Some shields were placed over the bar and out of reach of the public, Some of badges on these shields were fakes. I would make a copy in resin, using the low melt rubber method, paint them and display in the pub. The originals were sent to Rex Abbott in South Africa. Rex had a collection of Car Badges under the heading of the Queenstown Motorbadge Collection. He would send, after some bartering by letter, an exchange, in that way my Collection was seen to expand quicker. Always with the thought that a second example would eventually come my way.
