Liverpool Motor Club (The) Affiliated to the Auto Cycle Union (ACU) Central Centre 1923-76. Known to be affiliated to the Royal Automobile Club (RAC) from 1925 to 1987 but my records are far from complete. Founded 1902 as successor to The Liverpool Self Propelled Traffic Association of 1896 By 1908 it re-formed as the Mersey Motor Club, some of their popular events included the Pen-y-Ball Hill Climb and Colwyn Bay Speed Trials. Break away clubs being formed, namely The Liverpool Auto-Cycle Club and the Liverpool Amateur Motor Cycle Club. In 1915 they merged as the Liverpool Motor Club.
