Merioneth (Meirionnydd). (Welsh) 4.25” tall (109mm) Manufactured by Renamel of London, centre part in resin and having the Crown and “R” on the front of the tang. The shield shows three white goats (salent) on a blue field. They would appear to have a connexion with the fanciful arms given for Merioneth in Drayton's "Battle of Agincourt", where the men of the County bore a banner with "three goats dancing 'gainst a rising sun". The sun now seen at the top of the shield. c 1960’s early 1970's
