Dublin University Motor Cycle & Light Car Club (Irish) The club was founded in 1923 and Prof. John Joly was a founder member and first President. It was one of the top motor and motor cycle clubs in Ireland and members won many national and international trophies over the years. All graduates and under-graduates of the University were eligible to join. The club ran Car rallies,test trials, and mud plugs, for bikes - trials and scrambles and for both - hill climbs and short circuit events. Members included people like Stanley Woods, Paddy Hopkirk and Jonathan Bewley. The club ceased to exist about 8 years ago (c2007) Hon Treasurer and Vice President for many years, Keith Collie
