2006 Wales Rally GB 1-3 December 2006 Cardiff 32 mm wide The first RAC Rally of Great Britain was in 1951 1970-73 the Daily Mirror sponsored the event 1974-92 Lombard North Central were the Sponsores. 1993-2002 Netwotk Q were the Sponsores. 2003 saw a change in name to the Welsh Rally, apart from being known as the Rally of Great Britain in 2009, it remains as the Wales Rally to this day
