Institute of Advanced Motorists Although the Institution was founded in 1956 it was nearly 20 years before there was a test for Motor Cyclists, who on passing the test were issued with green badges. Motorists were issued with Red badges, both tang and side fixing holes were available. Enamelled badges were available from 1976 into the 80's
