Royal Automobile Club Associate Hampshire Automobile Club Car Badge
UK County
Royal Automobile Club Associate Hampshire Automobile Club. Known as a "County" type. Hampshire Automobile Club Southern section was established and affiliated to the Automobile Club of Great Britain and Ireland in 1906 and went on to 1948. A North section was established on April 24th 1909 and continued until 1948 and an Eastern section from March 1911 until 1941. In 1949 the club did away with the three sections and stayed with the RAC until 1974. Being one of the largest of the affiliated clubs has meant that the badge which was common to all three areas, is only surpassed in numbers by the Civil Service County type badge.
