Hull Auto Cycle & Light Car Club Car Badge

Hull Auto Cycle & Light Car Club “Founded 1903” “Old Timers Rally 1948” 4.4” diameter (111 mm) Having the A.C.U. style small badge in the centre. The 1903 refers to the formation of the A.C.U. The earliest date I have for the Hull Auto Cycle & Light Car Club, is 1923, they were in the Yorkshire region from 1923 until 1950 then East Yorkshire from 1951 until 1963 this was because of boundary changes within the A.C.U. There was a Hull A.C. in the East Yorkshire Section from 1964 until 1989 when my records go up to, this looks to be a continuation of the Club with a new name. A Hull & District Automobile Club established in the Spring of 1904 becoming defunct in 1941. The 1903 refers to the date of establishment of the Club by the Automobile Club of Great Britain and Ireland, which was the forerunner of the Royal Automobile Club (RAC)
