Fakes & Reproductions

Having seen the number of Reproductions and down right fakes increase with the development of the Internet, I believe it is an important part of being a responsible collector to educate as much as possible the newest recruits to our hobby.

Some of us old hands know by bitter experience the few who have blighted the collecting scene for years.

The Internet and particularly eBay has led to this practice becoming more widespread.

Where badges are clearly listed as being of recent manufacture there seems little one can or should do.

However the aim of this Chapter is to make knowledge of what is not correct, easily available to Collectors.
