Many Car and Motor Cycle clubs adopted symbols used in their County or Towns Heraldic shields.
For the simplicity purpose I am only looking at the shield itself, not the Supporters on either side or the various items both on the top and below the shield
The Heralds devised some simple rules in order that identification was made easy for the mainly illiterate peasant Soldiers and those attending Jousting tournaments.
At the time the language of the Nobility was Norman -French and therefore the written descriptions were mainly in French
